CODOS Store is for real businesses selling real goods and services. This page lists what can be sold on stores built with CODOS Store, what can be sold only under conditions, and what can never be sold — and what we do when a store breaks these rules. It is part of our Terms of service.

Allowed

Most stores sell these. Describe them truthfully and deliver what you show.

  • Clothing, shoes, bags and accessories
  • Beauty, skincare and hair care — without medical claims
  • Home, furniture, kitchen and decoration
  • Electronics and accessories — genuine, and used items described as used
  • Packaged food and non-alcoholic drinks, labelled as the law requires
  • Kids and baby products that meet safety rules
  • Sport, outdoor, hobbies, books and stationery
  • Handmade goods and art
  • Digital products you made yourself: templates, courses, e-books
  • Services you provide yourself: workshops, appointments, repairs

Allowed with conditions

Allowed only if you follow every condition. A person at CODOS reviews these products.

  • Food supplements and slimming products — legal where you sell them, properly labelled, and never promising to cure, treat or prevent a disease or to guarantee weight loss
  • Products with health claims — only claims you can prove and the law allows
  • Alcohol — only where you hold the licence, sold to adults of legal drinking age and checked at delivery
  • Merchandise and hardware about crypto-assets — never selling, exchanging or promoting crypto-assets as an investment
  • IPTV and streaming — only services you are licensed to resell
  • Software keys and digital accounts — only genuine keys from authorised sources, never shared or resold accounts
  • Fireworks and self-defence sprays — only where legal, with any licence required, sold to adults
  • Pre-orders — say when the order ships, and refund if you cannot deliver
  • Second-hand goods — state the condition honestly, with real pictures

Never allowed

These cannot be sold on any store built with CODOS Store, whatever the country.

  • Counterfeit, replica or “copy” goods, and anything using another brand’s name, logo or design without permission
  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives and their parts
  • Drugs, cannabis and CBD, legal highs, research chemicals and drug paraphernalia
  • Tobacco, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, e-liquids and vaping products
  • Prescription medicines, steroids, and medical devices that need a licence
  • Adult products, pornography and escort or dating services
  • Gambling, betting, lotteries and paid predictions
  • Investment schemes, trading signals, multi-level marketing, get-rich-quick offers, loans and money transfer
  • Fake documents, hacked or stolen accounts, fake followers, likes or reviews
  • Stolen goods, live animals, and products from protected wildlife
  • Anything that promotes hate, violence or terrorism, or that sexualises minors
  • Anything illegal where you sell it or where your buyer lives

How you may sell

Show real products: pictures and descriptions of what the buyer will receive. No bait-and-switch, no “free” products that hide their price in the delivery fee.

No fake reviews, fake countdowns, fake stock numbers or invented discounts. A “was” price must be a price you really charged.

Take only orders you intend to deliver, and deliver within the time you state. If you cannot, tell the buyer and give their money back.

Never ask buyers for card numbers, passwords or codes in a form, a note or a message.

Message buyers only about their order, or about offers they agreed to receive.

What every store must show

Who you are and how to reach you: an email or a phone number that you answer.

Your refund and returns policy, your delivery policy (where you deliver, how long it takes, what it costs), your privacy policy and your terms of sale.

Prices with every fee, and taxes where the law requires them.

CODOS Store gives your store a page for each policy, links them in your footer, and shows them to buyers before they complete an order — so keep them true.

How we check

When you sign up, you tell us what your store sells and accept these rules as part of our Terms.

Every product is checked automatically when it is saved. A product that looks like something never allowed cannot be published: it is kept as a draft, and a person at CODOS looks at it. A product that is allowed with conditions is published, and a person reviews it.

The check reads words, so it can be wrong. If a product was stopped by mistake, save it as a draft and write to us — a person decides, and once a product is cleared it is not stopped again.

Anyone — a buyer, a brand, another seller — can report a store at mycodos.com/report. Every report is read by a person.

What we do when a store breaks the rules

We take the product down. It goes back to a draft and cannot be published again. We email you the reason.

For a serious or repeated breach, we close the store to the public. Your password page does not open it, and only we can lift it. Your products, pages and orders are kept, and you can still sign in and export them.

For fraud, counterfeit goods, illegal products or buyers put at risk, we act at once and may close the account for good. Where the law requires it, we pass information to the authorities.

Otherwise we tell you what is wrong and, where we can, give you time to fix it first.

If you think we got it wrong

Reply to the email we sent you, or write to [email protected]. A person who did not make the first decision looks at it again, and we answer within five working days.

Payment providers you use

If your store takes payments through a payment provider, that provider’s own rules apply too, and some restrict more businesses than we do. A product we allow may still be refused by your provider; follow the stricter of the two.
