What this is
CODOS Store is software for building and running an online store. You pay us a monthly or yearly subscription for it. These terms cover the store builder at mycodos.com and the stores made with it.
By creating an account you accept these terms, our Privacy policy, our Refunds policy and our Acceptable use policy — what you can sell (mycodos.com/privacy, mycodos.com/refunds and mycodos.com/acceptable-use). If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
What the service includes
The store builder and live editor, themes, product and collection pages, the order form and checkout, store apps, hosting for your store at yourname.mycodos.com or your own domain, store analytics, and connections to the services you choose (pixels, WhatsApp, email).
We do not hold payments for your store: your buyers pay you directly — with cash on delivery, by bank transfer, or by card through your own Stripe account where your business can open one. We do not ship parcels or deliver orders; delivery is yours, through the couriers or delivery services you choose.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and use CODOS Store for a business — your own, or one you are allowed to act for. If you sign up for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.
The details you give us (name, email, phone, business) must be true and kept up to date.
Your account
You keep your password safe and are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us as soon as you think someone else has access to it.
One person or company per account. You may add team members from inside your store; you are responsible for what they do there.
Your store and your customers
Your products, pictures, texts and customers stay yours. You give us only the right we need to host, show and back up your store while you use the service.
You are the seller. Your buyers pay you, not us: with cash on delivery or by bank transfer straight to you. You are responsible for the goods you sell, their delivery, and for following the laws that apply where you sell — consumer rights, product safety, pricing, advertising and taxes.
Your store must show who you are and how to reach you, your own refund and return policy, your delivery terms and your prices with any fees. CODOS Store gives you pages for each; keep them true.
You may only message buyers who ordered from you or agreed to hear from you, and only about their order or what they agreed to receive.
You are responsible for the taxes of your own business — working out, collecting, declaring and paying them. CODOS Store does not calculate, collect or pay taxes for your store.
You handle your buyers’ personal data lawfully: you tell them how you use it (your store has a privacy page for that) and use it only for what they expect.
Payment services
Your buyers pay you, not us. If you use a payment provider with your store, your use of it is governed by your own agreement with that provider, and you must also follow its list of restricted businesses. We are not a party to that agreement and do not hold your money.
Card payments. Payment processing services for merchants on CODOS Store are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (stripe.com/connect-account/legal/full), which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (stripe.com/legal/ssa) (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to operate as a merchant on CODOS Store, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of CODOS Store enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide CODOS Store accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize CODOS Store to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.
Card payments are available only to businesses registered in a country Stripe supports, and only once Stripe has verified the business. Stripe decides whether to accept a business; we do not. Everyone else keeps cash on delivery and bank transfer.
You are responsible for refunds, disputes and chargebacks on the payments your store receives, and for answering your buyers about them. Card refunds and disputes are handled in your own Stripe dashboard.
Pixels and tracking
If you add pixels or tracking (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Google or others), you are responsible for following the laws on tracking where your buyers live — such as the GDPR, ePrivacy rules and the CCPA — including asking for their consent when the law requires it.
You may not add scripts that harm buyers or the service. We can switch off a script or pixel that puts security or your store’s working at risk, and tell you why.
Other services you connect
CODOS Store connects to services run by other companies: ad networks, WhatsApp, email providers, couriers, domain registrars. Your use of each follows that company’s own terms and privacy policy.
When you connect one, you allow us to send it the data it needs to work. We are not responsible for its outages, errors or decisions, such as an ad account being limited.
What you may not sell
The full list — what is allowed, what is allowed only with conditions, and what is never allowed — is our Acceptable use policy at mycodos.com/acceptable-use. It is part of these terms. In short, you may not sell:
Counterfeit or replica goods, or anything that copies another brand’s name, logo or design without permission.
Weapons, ammunition, explosives and their parts; drugs, drug paraphernalia and substances sold as legal highs; tobacco, e-cigarettes and vaping products; alcohol where you are not licensed to sell it.
Medicines, prescription products and supplements that promise to cure, treat or prevent disease; products with health or weight-loss claims you cannot prove.
Adult content or services; gambling, lotteries and betting; financial products, investment schemes, crypto-assets and get-rich-quick offers.
Stolen goods, hacked accounts, fake documents, and any product or service that is illegal where you sell it or where your buyer lives.
What you may not do
Deceive buyers: fake reviews, fake countdowns or stock numbers, hidden fees, or goods that are not what the page shows.
Take orders you do not intend to deliver, collect payment details or passwords, or pretend to be another shop, brand or person.
Send spam, upload malware, attack or overload the service, or try to reach data that is not yours.
How we check
Products are checked automatically when they are saved. A product that looks like something never allowed stays a draft until a person at CODOS has looked at it; the check can be wrong, and a person always decides.
We may look at any store open to the public and act on reports from buyers, brands and authorities. We can hide a product or page, close a store to the public, or suspend an account that breaks these terms. We tell you why and, where we can, give you time to fix it first — unless the law, a court or an obvious fraud requires us to act at once.
An account whose stores keep drawing fraud reports, or that returns after being closed, is closed for good.
Plans and payment
Every store can be built free for three days, without a card; during that time it is not open to the public. A store opens to customers only once it has a plan. The first plan on an account begins with a 14-day introductory period for USD 1, charged when you choose it; after it the plan’s price is charged in advance, every month or every year — whichever you chose — until you cancel. A yearly plan costs the price of 10 months. We email you 3 days before the plan’s price starts, and before a yearly plan renews. Each further store has its own plan, billed from its first day, and may receive a discount while every bill on the account is paid.
Prices are in US dollars. If a tax applies to your purchase, it is shown on the payment page before you pay.
Payments are made through our payment provider on its own secure page. We never see or store your full card number.
You can cancel any time from Settings › Billing in your store. Cancelling stops the next charge, and the store keeps its plan until the end of the period already paid for. When we refund is set out in our Refunds policy (mycodos.com/refunds).
If a payment fails, the store stays open while we retry the card every two days for 30 days (5 days for the first payment after the introductory period), then closes to the public until the bill is paid. Your products, pages and orders are kept throughout, and everything is as you left it when you take a plan again.
If you think a charge is wrong, write to us first — we answer within two working days and fix our mistakes.
Prices can change. If they do, we email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.
Stopping
You can close your store or your account at any time. Before you do, export your products and customers, and ask us for a copy of your orders.
We may close an account that breaks these terms, as described in “How we check”. When an account closes, its stores go offline, any bill still unpaid remains due, and we delete its data as our Privacy policy explains.
Confidentiality
We keep what we learn about your business private, and you keep private anything non-public you learn about ours — such as how the service works behind the scenes or anything we share with you in confidence. This does not cover what is already public, what someone gives you lawfully, or what you knew or built without it.
Security
We protect the service and your data with industry-standard measures, but no system is completely safe. Keep your own devices and passwords secure, and do not add code or act in a way that weakens the security of your store or the service.
Your ideas
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve CODOS Store, freely and without owing you anything for them.
What we promise, and what we do not
We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or free of errors. Apart from what these terms say, the service is provided as it is.
We are not responsible for lost sales, lost profit or indirect damage. Our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us for the service in the three months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits a right the law does not allow us to limit.
We are not responsible for problems caused by other companies’ services, by code or settings you add, or by what you or your team do in your account.
You will cover us for claims, costs and losses brought by your buyers or anyone else because of what you sell or publish on your store, how you use the service, or your breaking these terms or the law.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we update the date at the top of this page. For a change that matters to you, we email the address of your account at least 14 days before it applies. Using the service after that date means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can cancel before then.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If something goes wrong, write to us first: most problems are settled that way within 30 days. If they are not, the state and federal courts located in Wyoming decide, unless the law of the country you live in gives you the right to go to your own courts.
General
These terms, with the Privacy, Refunds and Acceptable use policies, are the whole agreement between you and CODOS LLC about CODOS Store.
If a court finds one part of them invalid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
You may not hand this agreement to someone else without our written agreement; we may transfer it to a company that takes over the service, and we will tell you.
If these terms are ever shown in another language, the English version is the one that counts. The parts that by their nature should last after the account closes — such as payment owed, confidentiality, responsibility and the law that applies — keep applying.
