Profit calculator for online stores

Most margin calculators stop at “price minus cost”. This one follows 100 orders through confirmation, delivery and refusals, so you see what you really keep — and how much you can spend on ads before you lose money.

How it counts

  • Ads are paid on every order received — including the ones that never confirm.
  • Packaging is paid on every parcel shipped; product and delivery on every parcel delivered.
  • Each refused parcel costs the courier’s refusal fee, plus the product if it cannot be resold.
  • Only delivered parcels bring money in.

Guides to improve these numbers

Questions people ask first

What is a good profit per order?

It depends on your product, but many small cash-on-delivery stores aim to keep at least 20–30% of the selling price as profit, so a bad week of refusals or expensive ads does not wipe it out.

Why is my ad cost per delivered order so much higher?

Because you pay for ads on every order, but only a part of them is delivered. With 80% confirmed and 75% delivered, only 60 of 100 orders pay — so each delivered order carries the ads of 1.7 orders.
